IMMEDIATE holds its second General Assembly Meeting

On the 27th of November, the IMMEDIATE consortium gathered virtually for their second General Assembly meeting. Around 25 members of the project attended the meeting, shared the current status of their tasks and participated in discussions.

The meeting started with a warm welcome by Martina Radanović (RISE) and deputy project coordinator Dr Chotima Böttcher (Charite - Universitätsmedizin Berlin), who summarised the progress made this year and the coming deliverables in the next year. Each work package leader highlighted the progress made thus far and plans for the next steps to ensure the project's success.

Dr Sofia Kirke Forslund-Startceva (Max Delbrück Center) presented the advancements made within the WP1 - for FAIR data management and AI platform integration and announced the planning of the Hackaton meeting on IMMEDIATE data analysis in 2025.

Prof Dr Karolina Skonieczna-Żydecka (Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin) shared the ongoing success of the PoC study where out of the 195 applicants , 141 successfully completed the study, following through with all the necessary protocols and visits. There are currently 42 active participants, with their final visits scheduled. The application, developed by ZADIG, was tested on the participants of the PoC study so we can make adjustments for the app that will be available to the public. The consortia members are considering collecting data through smartphones using a smartwatch that will be tested for the final app development. The discussion was held around the Multi-Omics platform for precision immunology that gatherers data from our three observational cohorts: 10k (Israel), NAKO, and KTX360°C (Germany).

The meeting was a great opportunity to share the progress made, align the combined efforts of connected work packages and resolve some questions on the spot. Project coordinators concluded the meeting by congratulating the consortium on the hard work made so far and the next steps needed for project success. The next IMMEDIATE progress meeting will be held in Poland in 2025 and hosted by Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.
