The Department of Medicine 4 - Nephrology and Hypertensiology of the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen is one of the largest university nephrology facilities in Germany. Kidney and hypertensive diseases and their sequelae are treated here using state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic methods. UKER is specialised in kidney and hypertension diseases, mental health, urology, and pregnancy and childbirth. Through this unique combination of expert knowledge, UKER offers patients all treatment options from prenatal diagnostics and initial diagnostics to kidney replacement procedures in elderly patients, both acute and chronic. In addition, the center offers all special procedures for the extracorporeal treatment of immunological diseases and systemic diseases with renal involvement.
Role within IMMEDIATE
The Department of Medicine 4 - Nephrology and Hypertensiology of the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen will be involved in the study using the KTX360° cohort. Biosamples associated with the KTx360° project will be used for IMMEDIATE and data from the prospective cohort of kidney transplant recipients (KTX360°, n=937) will be made available to the study.
